Ten EDC Bags That Don’t Look Like A Purse

If you carry an EDC bag, more than likely, you’ve heard someone refer to it as a purse (or even a murse).

Yup. I’m one of those guys. Most of the things that I carry go into a bag that stays close at hand.

While the bag might not be on me, it’s never far away. Usually it’s sitting in the car or in my desk at the office.

If you really don’t like people calling your man bag a “murse”, then you need to peruse the bags we’ve featured below.

They allow you to retain all your manliness while carrying what you need.

1. Blackhawk! Advanced Tactical Briefcase – $110

First things first. Your Everyday Carry doesn’t have to go in it’s own bag. In fact, I carry mine in my backpack to work everyday. The Blackhawk! Advanced Tactical Briefcase is perfect for those that like the messenger bag style, but still need the room for an EDC. There’s three pockets on the front flap plus an ID window, side pockets and it has a waterproof lining for those downpours you might get stuck in. Dimensions: 13”L x 16”W x 5”D = 610 cu. in.

2. 5.11 RUSH MOAB 6 – $60

If it’s just your EDC and not much more, the 5.11 RUSH MOAB 6 is a perfect bag to carry your gear. Full Molle system, single sling configuration and plenty of room in two compartments for your stuff. There’s also a pocket on the back for quick access to papers, ID and perhaps a map or two. Also can connect to other RUSH or DC roller packs. Main compartment– 10.5”H x 9”L x 5”D, Front compartment– 9.5”H x 8”L x 2”D

3. Condor MA-26 Gadget Pouch – $13

If you don’t need a lot of space, or want something that can fit on your hip, consider the Condor MA-26 Gadget Pouch. Even though it’s small (softball size) it has enough room for all the essential goodies you love to have with you. The front flap has a zipper pocket for easy access, and on the inside there’s a front pouch with shock cord straps and a main pouch with compartments for smaller item sorting. Dimensions: 5.5″H x 4″W x 2.5″D

This is my MA-26 Load Out. Everything on the mat except the Cliff bar and waterproof bag with notebook fit inside or attached to the side.

4. Reebow Tactical Sling Bag – $22

Like the MOAB 6 above, this Reebow Tactical Sling Bag is perfect for those who like to be well equipped when they’re out. Big enough for carrying a 10 inch tablet and your other everyday carry, the sling bag is perfect to have when you just want to grab a load out and go. The back of the pack has a compartment for your concealed carry too. Dimensions: 12″ x 9.5″ x 6″

5. Vanlison Sling Bag – $19

OK, so not everyone’s into tactical bags and we get that. The Vanlison Sling Bag is perfect for those that want to have a really nice EDC bag, but don’t want to look like they’re shipping out next week. The Vanlison Sling Bag offers a ton of storage space with a bunch of pockets for a surprisingly low price, but most of all, it’s practical and no one is gonna raise an eye wondering if you have a gun in your bag.  Dimensions: 8.2″ x 3.9″ x 13.7″

6. SKYLE Sling Bag – $15

Another non-military looking sling, the SKYLE Sling Bag holds a 7 inch tablet plus other stuff. Good for short day trips and minimal carry. It’s tall size can be a bit restricting when the item you need is at the bottom, and you have to dig deep for it.

7. Muzee Sling Bag – $19

OK, so we need to throw in a “boardroom safe” bag or two in here don’t we? The Muzee Sling Bag looks great and holds the stuff you want, but best of all, none of your coworkers will give you grief about it’s style. The bag has a vertical front pocket, two top opening inner pockets and has an external phone charging port (portable battery charger not included). Dimensions: 6.32″ x 3.93″ x 9.84″

8. Bullcaptain Brown Leather Shoulder Bag – $44

The Top Power EDC Bag is non tactical in appearance and has six compartments to hold your stuff. 10. Rapid Dominance Military Heavyweight Field Bag – $30

This military field bag is perfect for those that prefer a vintage look. Big enough to carry a 10″ iPad and durable enough to stand up to just about anything, it’s a perfect option to carry a lightweight EDC. Dimensions: 10.25″W x 10.5″H x 4.0″ D
